Angora Peak Tour 12/23/17

It was nice to get back to this playground, it’s been nearly a year since the last time… While I’m not back to climbing the pinnacles (yet), I did tag the base of each one making the days total 8.5 miles by 3030’ gain.
New gate, probably means new land owner…

Angora Cliffs…a great thrash rappel

Looking North up the coast line..towards Cannon Beach

They’ve been up here on the upper road cutting back the vegetation, probably getting ready to take more trees…

Looking down at the small community of Arch Cape, and Castle Rock out in the Pacific…

Foggy view of the Little Angora pinnacle…

The “Hermit View”

The Hermit Hut…

Looking south down the coast line towards Nehalem Bay…

Heading into the cloud that’s stuck on Angora Peak…

One of my favorite coastal outcropping…2300′ above the ocean…

At the base, looking up at the Angora Pinnacle…

Little Angora Pinnacle (the Technical one)

Thrashing through the forest to the tree’d summit of Angora Peak…2,682′

From the summit, looking south at the tip of the Revenge Pinnacle…

The Revenge Pinnacle…

Still pretty cold at the tree’d summit of Angora Peak…

Nehalem River estuary…

Last look at the Little Angora pinnacle…

Hmmm…weather system coming in…

Days total…
