Stayed up to watch the Lunar Eclipse. I chose the parking lot at Jackson Middle School, because it’s just down the street from my home, and it has a large open view of the sky. I parked at about 10:20pm, only to find out later that was about 40-min early…by my eyes the eclipse started at almost 11:00pm. At about 12:20am the moon was near full eclipse. I was able to capture some pics with my point & shoot camera, but nothing to compare to the pics taken with the big camera’s. I’ve seen some incredible pics online. I’m happy to have been able to witness the eclipse. Next one is October 8th 2014.
