Angora Grand Tour…
Perfect day for the Grand Tour of Angora Peak area. The “Grand Tour” consist of, in this order, The Hermit View, The Hermit Hut (now broken), scrambling to the top of Angora Pinnacle, circumnavigating around Little Angora, finding the true summit of Angora Peak, scrambling to the top of the Revenge Pinnacle, finding your way to My Favorite Rock Outcropping, then hiking the edge of Arch Cape Cliffs… This tour will get you just over 9 miles and over 3400’ of gain. Best done on a dry sunny day. Late Spring you’ll see many wildflowers.

Looking up at the Arch Cape Cliffs…
The Hermit Hut. Slowly turning into a pile of rubble… When I first stumbled upon the Hermit Hut 15 years ago, it was actually a good shelter from a storm…
Hiking the old road… Looking south.
At the base of Angora Pinnacle…
From the summit of Angora Pinnacle, looking over at Angora Peak and the Revenge Pinnacle.
Onion Peak, Kidders Butte, Humbug Mountain, and Saddle Mountain…(front to back)
Try doing that…with your gloves on…
Little Angora (the technical one). I will circumnavigate around this pinnacle today…a nasty thrash 🙂
Arch Cape breakers 2400′ below…
Now standing on the true summit of Angora Peak, looking at the summit of the Revenge Pinnacle, my next stop…
After a thrashy scramble to the top of the Revenge Pinnacle, a great view South at the Nehalem Valley and Neahkahnie Mountain.
Looking back over at Angora Peak proper, hidden inside the trees…
Looking over at the Angora Pinnacle…was just on top of that about an hour ago…
Looking south down the coastline…had a low layer of ocean haze all day…
From the summit of the Revenge Pinnacle…
Now on to My Favorite Rock Outcropping…
A view south from My Favorite Rock Outcropping…
Last look at Little Angora Pinnacle (the technical one)
Heading back down as the sun lowers…
This clouds filtering through what trees are left below…
Afternoon view looking north up the coastline, and Arch Cape below…
