Angora Grand Tour…
Deb and I did the Angora Grand Tour today. It’s been over a year since either one of us has been up there. It was good to get back up there. The weather was perfect…Cool temps, sunny, and dry vegetation. The scrambles up both Angora Pinnacle and the Revenge Pinnacle are getting pretty grovelly but still doable.
The back-side trail needs more heavy work.
White Crowned Sparrow…watched us for a long time from the top of the tree…
Old logging road blasted out of the side of the mountain…
Great view of the Pacific Ocean…
I call this The Hermit’s View…
..because it’s near the Hermit Hut…which is more like a pile of rusty metal and rocky rubble. I remember my first time here, one could spend a dry night in this hut.
Deb ascending the Angora Pinnacle…
Looking down into the Arch Cape Creek drainage. Onion Peak in the distance…
From the summit of Angora Peak, looking at the Revenge Pinnacle…
From the summit of the Revenge Pinnacle looking over at Angora Pinnacle…
Little Angora…the Technical one.
