Took a couple of friends up to Mount Beachie, and Battle Ax. This is one of my favorite places in Oregon. It’s a very unique place on the western slopes of the old Cascades. The figure-8 loop is only 9-miles with about 2600′ of gain, but with the 3rd & 4th class scrambling, along with some bush thrashing…it’s a good day out…rain or shine. This day happened to be a perfect sunny dry day. Along the way we pass below Sharp Tooth Rock, a rock that I’ve climbed with Tim Olson…and gear.
