I’ve done this route before back in 2007, although this time we started a bit further north. We parked at the road’s end, at the east end of Breitenbush Mountain. From there thrashed our way along the ridge till we found a good place to drop down to the Bench of The Lakes. We ended up touching 8-lakes, two of which clothes were definitely not required (Slideout and Bear). After cooling off in Bear Lake we headed up to the summit of Dinah-Mo Peak. The new summit register is packed with all sorts of interesting reading material…including the small piece of paper I signed back in 2005. After a long break on Dinah-Mo we headed back down, then up to Adventure Ridge…taking the ridge to Bear Point. Between the heat and the cross country thrash down below, we were zapped! From Bear Point we took the NW ridge back to the car. This was a fun tour of a very remote secluded place. Dinah-Mo Peak has some incredible views…
Another fun adventure with Deb…Keep em comin!
