Looking at LIDAR and the USGS TOPO, this drainage looked like it had a short narrows section…and a few possible short drops, so what the hell…let’s drop it! Doing anything in these parts are sure to be scenic…and that it was.
Near the confluence of the east fork of this drainage we found an abandoned mine shaft that was in solid rock and went back about 80’-100’. We found all sorts of junk…looks like it was left by campers that didn’t want to pack it out.
The narrows area was interesting…would have been more fun with more water flow, but still interesting. Might be worth going back for the middle section, with moderate flows. Today’s team…Karl, Kevin, Keith, and Deb.
