Emory Peak…
After a long drive from the Guadalupe Mountains, we arrived at Big Bend National Park. We stayed at the edge of the park, in the small town of Terlingua, an old historic mining town. I had a great steak dinner, and Deb was able to get some tasty vegetable tacos, at the Starlight Theatre at the end of town.
The next day we drove into Big Bend NP, found the trailhead, and was on our way up… Another cool and cloudy day for a hike. We decided to make a loop and hike back via the Laguna Meadows trail. Turned out to be a 12.8 mile x 2700’ gain hike.
Now off to Fort worth to work a trade show…
