Neither Deb or I have been on ice for 3-years for one reason or another, so while excited, also a bit reluctant. I think we only decided to go three weeks prior….
Hyalite ice climbing trips are mini adventures…Friday we drive to Bozeman, climb in Hyalite canyon for two days, then drive home on Monday.
We met up with Ryan, who showed us the routes that we in the best condition. He also led most of what we were climbing…since I wasn’t feeling ready to lead most stuff. I did get a couple good leads in though.
All in all, we had a great time in Bozeman / Hyalite…can’t wait to go back next winter.
