For the lack of something better to do, I set out with Keith to explore the east ridge of Kings Mountain. We slogged to the summit, hitting solid snow near the summit. The wind was blowing and the rain was falling so we decided that exploring, for the first time, the East Ridge…was not a smart thing to do in these conditions. So instead of just taking the trail back we decided to thrash down the SE ridge to a known cliff, do a quick rap and thrash back through the forest back to the vehicle.
