I heard that this creek may have some possibilities…as far as falls go. Sure enough! We dropped in off the road at the top of a small eastern trib that runs into Stafford Creek. This small trib included one of the 8-9 falls we dropped during the day. Another beautiful drainage in the Oregon Coastal range.
Team: Karl, Keith, and Peter
I always wonder what the locals think when they round the corner and see us gearing up…
Just off the road, into the drainage…not much water
Over and under the mess….still looking for some water…
Finally, some water…and it’s falling over the edge…getting ready for the first rappel.
Peter half way down the low angle falls…
Keith heading down the second falls….
Looking back at the second falls…
Looking down over the next drop…
More water, deeper pools…as we navigate down stream…
Keith in the flow, at the far lip of the first pot hole…
Keith in the bottom swimmer pot hole…
Peters turn to navigate the pot holes….
Whew! made it out and down to the swimmer…
Looking back at the fun pot hole falls…
Another beautiful falls, with a great finish…
Peter on a controlled slide into the pool…
Last falls before the big ones…
The top tier of Stafford Creek Falls…
Lower tier with Peter in the flow…
Looks like a great adventure!
Any chance of a close up or explanation sometime about that anchor system you are using?
