One more trip up Three Fingered Jack (3FJ) before the snow starts falling… We haven’t been up this one for a couple of years. It was good to get back to the top. A nice 11-hour day in the mountains…
First pic of the day 7:37am…couple of hours after leaving the trailhead
Morning sun filtered by the thick fog…
First view east from the south ridge…
First view of the summit block…as the fog lifted.
Deb on what I call the “sidewalk”
Looking straight down from the “sidewalk”
Looking east…Black Butte front and center…
Looking south…Mount Washington, Three Sisters, and Broken Top
We call this the “great wall-o-chickenheads”
…and there she is after leading the final pitch to the summit 🙂
Time to rappel off this beautiful mountain…
Looking north at Mount Jefferson…
Hmmm…now to figure out how to get down…
