Twin Peaks…
Second time up on these two summits. Because of Weyerhaeuser’s crazy permit system, we had to find another way up to these interesting summits. We found a road with a gate that is owned by Lewis and Clark Timber…which we have a free recreation permit. This road is a bit longer than before, but well within our level. We knocked off a bit of mileage by cross-country travel through clear-cuts making our way to the base. Straight up through a clear-cut, through the forest to the saddle between both peaks. We decided to tag the North summit first, then over to the South summit next…where all the standing rocks are.
