Water Tank Creek Explore…
I noticed this creek while browsing Lidar, in the comfort of my nice warm home office. This past weekend looked like a good time to go and explore it. Lidar showed four decent size falls…but as usual it didn’t show the amount of thrash it took to reach all four falls. I’ve never seen Evergreen Huckleberry that fuck’n thick! We did encounter some very nice old growth near the drop-in point.
This explore was to see if it was a viable canyoneering trip, to drop the falls and continue down the creek bed. Well, all four falls were clean drops, but navigating the creek bed is nearly impossible due to all the debris and thick vegetation.
I’d go back to drop the falls, but I think I’d prefer to use a shuttle…just have to find out if the road above, goes.
Fun day out with my lovely wife, Deb.
Small pocket of old growth…big Douglas-fir and Cedars amongst others, like the Madrone’s

This is not a creek that one can walk down the creek bed…
