Up to Whetstone Mountain, down to Battle Ax Creek, into Jawbone Flats, and back to the trailhead… 9-hour car to car which included a nice hour soaking in the sun at the summit of Whetstone Mtn (4990’). We encountered snow just over 4100’, including the whole ridge east of Whetstone. Battle Ax Creek was gushing so we used the log crossing…which was dry and walkable. For a beautiful sunny Spring day, Jawbone Flats seemed deserted…
