Getting ready for a 6-day/night backpack in Canyonlands in a few weeks, Deb and I decided we need to get some mileage in… The weather has been pretty sucky lately and this Sunday didn’t look much different. We decided to stay close to home and check out the Wildwood trail in Forest Park. Neither one of us had been there before…mainly due to the crowds of people, but this Sunday wasn’t too bad crowd wise…probably because of the weather and the mud. We planned for, and achieved a 21-mile one way hike. We picked up a lot of mud along the way. The rain was more of a constant sprinkle so we didn’t get too saturated. This time of year this forest is turning a vibrant green with all the new growth and the trilliums were out in full force. Nice hike, we may be back…
