Hardesty Mountain…
Used the Eula Ridge trail to Hardesty Mountain summit. Nice multi-use trail. Looks like it gets a lot of Mtn bike usage. It was Friday, so didn’t see anyone on the trail. Good huff to the top. Took a long break at the top. The actual high point is a bit south and about 30’ higher. The map shows a spring, but we didn’t find it. Didn’t really look that hard either…
We chose a cross-country descent, using the ridge just south of Eula Ridge. A real nice ridge line down to a two mile road walk, and a short trail back to the car. Along the ridge descent, we walked through a beautiful forest with giant Hemlocks and Firs. We took a break there, amongst the trees.
The summit has a partial view to the NE, but that will soon be blocked by the trees. This hike really doesn’t offer any views, but does offer beautiful trees, on the giant side.
Another lovely day out with my beautiful wife, Deb.
