Angora Grand Tour 12-6-20

Angora Grand Tour…
I haven’t been up to Angora for a while so it was good to get back. Not much has changed other than all the logging on the surrounding hills.
We tagged Angora Pinnacle, circumnavigated Little Angora, tagged Angora Peak, and The Revenge pinnacle. The vegetation got us wet but it never rained…and the sun came out a couple of times. All in all, it was another great day outside.
One of my favorite places on the Oregon Coast…

Literally behind the Emerald Curtain…

No view of the Pacific Ocean this morning…

Somebody’s been keeping this path trimmed…

No Hermit’s view either…

Wow! Big difference from the last time I was here…

Always amazes me…

Deb coming up Angora Pinnacle…

Balancing rock…

A brief view over at the Revenge pinnacle…

Erosion is taking the trail…

Little Angora, the technical one. Part of “The Grand Tour” is to circumnavigate this rock…

A brief view of the sun on the the Oregon Coast…

From the true summit of Angora Peak, looking over at the Revenge pinnacle, our next stop…

The only way to scramble this pinnacle is that grovely groove…

Deb forcing her way up…

Karl on the summit of the Revenge pinnacle…

Heading back down…

Finally a view of the Pacific surf…

…and all of the clear-cut…

Today’s route…
