Chucksney Mountain Loop…
Found a nice hike outside of Oakridge, off forest road 19. Trailhead is near the old Box Canyon Guard Station and starts at the horse camp. I did the loop in a counter clock wise direction. Taking the Chucksney Mt trail (3306) up to the summit, then taking a left on the Grasshopper Mt trail (3569) back to the trailhead. Trail 3306 is a seldom used trail and has a lot of debris and is a bit over grown and the trail 3569 is pretty clear and is an obvious mountain bike trail.
I didn’t see anyone else at the trailhead, or on the trail all day. Nice dry warm weather.
