French Dip Creek Canyoneer 5-24-20

French Dip Creek…
Had another blast dropping French Dip Creek. Second time down this action-packed drainage. A series of short drops, long bedrock low-angle drops, and a bunch of vertical drops in rapid fire succession…including the 100’ French Dip Falls.

This is a perfect time to get this creek as the snow melt has just opened up the upper road, and still enough snow to feed this French Creek tributary. Makes for a great shuttle…

Today’s team…Keith, Wade, Deb, and myself…

From the top shuttle, looking across French Creek Canyon…Dog Tooth Rock (left), South Martin Butte, and Marten Buttes Falls…

Marten Buttes Falls…400′ beast!

Rap 2…

Looking up at Rap 2…

Seemed like miles of this low angle bedrock…

All the while being taunted by Marten Buttes Falls across the way…

Keith on French Dip Falls…

Little Dip…

Fun shit!

Several of these 200’+ low angle drops…

Cool patterns and color of the bedrock…

Deb on Last Falls…
