Pechuck Lookout via Old Bridge Trailhead 12-8-19

Pechuck Lookout via the Old Bridge trailhead…
A good winter conditioner…and a beautiful route from one end of Table Rock Wilderness, to the other end. This route is a steady climb from the Old Bridge to the top of High Ridge, which takes you along the base of Rooster rock to the far east end of the wilderness, ending at the Pechuck Lookout.
Sunday’s hike was mostly foggy with no views…but it was dry (other than the knee high vegetation). The lookout is in fine shape, dry and clean. The Friends of Pechuck take very good care of the lookout.
15.6 miles out an back x 4500’ gain +/-

After a 3000′ huff…finally on the ridge…

Alpine like meadow…

Out to a great view spot…although not today.

Trees…

Passing by Rooster Rock…

Pechuck Lookout…our turnaround

Thanks Don!

A foggy hike back to the trailhead…
