Silver Star Hike 7-1-18

Sunday…all about Nancy and David Hill, Deb and Cheryl’s parents….and my first trip up Silver Star Mountain. By the looks at all the flowers, the timing was just right. After a night of rain, the vegetation was holding a lot of moisture….so lush. We only saw the sun for a few brief moments near the top. Seems we were just at the ceiling most of the day. No rain and you could feel the sun trying to burn through the clouds. Very nice pace to enjoy the local scenery. A job well done by Nancy and David for making it to the summit!!

I love the variety… a florist couldn’t have done any better.

Life sustaining moisture…

Very cute…

Gaining the ridge…

Final push…

…to the summit.

From the summit…

I know what’s down there… 🙂

Sturgeon Rock…

Oh geeze, I got that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day…
