While so thankful that we have a cabin to come back to, we’re so sorry for all those that lost so much from the Santiam Wildfires…
Even though we lost the water system to the cabins, we came anyway. We had to see the cabin, our home away from home, that we had worried about for several weeks, not knowing if it was there or not… It was good to be back.
Here are several pics from a short walk behind the Stahlman Cabins only weeks after the wildfire swept through the Santiam Canyon. The fire was held back by a fire break, only several hundred feet back behind the Stahlman cabins.
