Waihe’e Ridge Trail 1-26-22

Waihe’e Ridge Trail…

First hike on Maui. A short, heavily used trail up to a viewing platform. Lots of people on the trail. Parking lot was full but we managed to snag a spot. I can see why this is a popular trail…short with a great viewpoint.

We picked this trail because we are interested in a future adventure trek beyond…

Looking north, we can see what we were calling Goat Rock.

We camped along the road at the base of Goat Rock. We called it Goat Rock because of the many feral goats we saw on it. The real name of that tall rock is called Pu’u Koa’e
